CFI offers an array of residential options with varying degrees of support and supervision. Presley Woods Apartments are 40 fully furnished studio apartments located in DeKalb County for single adults. Phoenix House Apartments are located outside the center city near the Oakland City MARTA Station in Southwest Atlanta. The complex is made up of 35 studio apartments and 8 four-bedroom/two bath garden apartments, and one two-bedroom apartment designed for someone requiring wheelchair assistance. O'Hern House is located in a mixed residential and commercial neighborhood at the eastern edge of Downtown Atlanta. The 80-year old, 4-story building provides each resident with a simple room that is furnished with a bed and dresser, and most rooms have a private bath. | |
| Other CFI residential options include group
homes, Semi-Independent Apartments (SIA) and HUD apartments. Group Homes CFI operates 4 group homes. Our group homes provide a high degree of supervision and support. With 24 hour supervision, 7 days a week, the homes offer support and structure to enable each resident to reach their optimal level of functioning. Staff members teach and assist members in meal planning/preparation, housekeeping, money management, bus route training, shopping, medication monitoring and the utilization of community resources. Residents must have a daytime activity such as a day program, job, etc. Intensive case management services are provided for each resident and result in an individual service plan which reflects the involvement of the consumer as well as the community mental health program. HUD Apartments CFI operates 2 HUD apartment complexes. These apartments are available to adults with persistent psychiatric disorders who have a goal of independent living. Each furnished apartment contains a living room, bedroom, bath and kitchen. Typically each apartment houses two persons. Staff are available 24 hours a day for routine maintenance and resident emergencies. Life Skills Trainers assist residents in shopping, preparing meals, apartment cleaning, budgeting, and planning recreational activities. Residents sign a lease agreement with certain rules/regulations to be followed.
